Introduction
I am a qualified psychotherapist and arts psychotherapist. I work with adult clients of all ages and backgrounds, confidentially and without judgement. I offer both time-limited and open-ended therapy in North West London. I use consulting rooms in the NW5 and NW6 areas.
Working arrangements and fees
I work in fifty-minute sessions, and the fee is £45. I invite all potential clients to come for an initial consultation, with no commitment beyond that session. After that consultation, we may agree to work together further or not. To arrange an initial consultation, please contact me on the number or email above.

What is my approach to psychotherapy?
I am an integrative psychotherapist. This means I bring in-depth knowledge of a range of theories to my work, rather than following a single approach.
I am trained in both psychotherapy and arts psychotherapy. Where my clients are open to working in this way, I may encourage them to communicate their experiences and emotions in a non-verbal manner using the arts, where sometimes words fail. I work therapeutically with a range of art forms - such as painting, clay, postcard images, drama role-play, voice and percussion instruments.
I support my clients to express hard-to-reach feelings and thoughts, to understand their behaviours and to find new ways of supporting themselves through challenges.
I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and I am working towards UK Council of Psychotherapy (UKCP) accreditation.

Do I need an arts background to use the arts in psychotherapy?
No, using the arts in psychotherapy does not require any arts background. It is all about the experience of creating art, and a person’s 'talent' is irrelevant. It can be as effective with people who are very verbal and have a tendency to hide behind their words and thoughts, as with those people who do not have words. Even though many of us have been encouraged to be creative in our childhood, it may seem unnatural at first to pick up art materials again in therapy.
I am trained to work with and without the arts depending on my client, their preferences, and the material we are working with.
